iMARS 2026 in Florence: Moderating and Presenting

From September 10 to 12, 2026, I will be part of the faculty at iMARS, the International Masterclass in Andrology and Reconstructive Surgery in Florence, organized by the ESGURS section (EAU Section of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons).

iMars 2026 in Florence: a two-track program

My presentation covers both the surgical and clinical tracks of the conference.

On Friday, I will be co-moderating Live Surgery Session 3 with my colleagues, broadcast live from the Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria Careggi, during which artificial urinary sphincters and penile prostheses will be implanted in real time.

On Saturday, I will moderate the plenary session on male sexual dysfunction and provide an update on the current status of sexually transmitted infections in Europe. Later that morning, during the semi-live video session, I will present my own case study: the implantation of a Contrileflex artificial urinary sphincter via a single perineoscrotal incision. I will conclude the day as co-moderator of the session on penile cosmetic procedures.

Why This Masterclass Matters

iMARS brings together European specialists in andrology and reconstructive urology for live surgical training and the latest clinical evidence. That live format is precisely what sets this type of conference apart from a typical poster session: you see not only the result, but also the decisions made during the procedure itself.

That aligns closely with my own practice in penile implants and reconstructive andrological surgery at the Sint-Jan Clinic in Brussels. This is also the third time I’ve spoken at iMARS. I was there in Florence in 2024, and in Naples in 2025.
