On June 18, 2025, I won’t be in the operating room or seeing patients, but… at the theater.
And not just any play: I’ll be at the Jules Bastin Theater in Waterloo to see “Radicale,” a comedy by David Friszman, directed by Raphaël Bierlaire. An unexpected, funny, and deeply human play… about the prostate.
A play like no other
“Radicale” tackles a topic often considered too serious or taboo—prostate cancer—in a humorous and intelligent way. As an Alsuro andrologist, I can only applaud initiatives like this. By talking about men’s health in a different way—with humor and emotion—we can break the taboo and reach a wider audience.
Why I'll Be There
I enthusiastically support this project for several reasons:
- Because it brings men's health into the public eye, outside of medical circles.
- Because it creates a bond between patients, families, healthcare providers… and even curious onlookers.
- Because all proceeds from the performances will be donated to the Nous Aussi association, which supports prostate cancer patients.
This performance is also a form of prevention: it encourages people to reflect, learn more, and seek advice.

Conclusion
I am convinced that health is not just about hospitals and doctor’s visits. Health also plays a role in society, in culture, and in human interactions. I would like to thank the entire team at Théâtre sur la Lune for this bold undertaking.
And if you're available on June 18, come to Waterloo for an evening that is at once lighthearted, thought-provoking, and essential.
